We bought the kids their halloween costumes today. We took them to Ontario Mills today and visited Children's Place. We showed them the costumes and they both picked out their own. It was really cute. Since Logan is still so young we showed him a penguin or a teddy bear and let him choose between the two. He got all excited and picked the teddy bear. For Rory I showed her a lot of costumes and she wanted to be a flower (remind you of anyone???) HA HA family inside joke sorry. I'm sure I'll take some in studio pics later but I just wanted to snap a few today :)

I ordered Rory a dress from a girl I've known for a while now. Her name is Amy and she is awesome at making clothes! Her website is an etsy shop Baby Threads Boutique. Rory loves her little dress she thought it was the prettiest thing ever. I was trying to get a nice full length picture of Rory but she was too busy cuddling with her baby brother on the couch watching tv. Speaking of the baby brother, Logan is such a sweetheart. He has just learned to climb on the couch and when he does he acts like he has just climbed Mount Everest. It is just so dang adorable! He is so cute, he climbs up there and gets this big huge smile like LOOK MOMMY I DID IT!!! Well I was trying to get a picture and how could I pass up this photo opportunity.

As you can tell I am a little over a week behind in posting. I started back to work on the 8th and instead of working my usual 3 hours I am now working 6 hours. Why am I working so many hours???? Because it is crunch time. I need to pay off some of my nice expensive fancy camera equipment and what better way to do that then shooting weddings on weekends and working double time during the week :) I am hoping to work my booty off this next year and pay off a substantial amount of debt and then EVENTUALLY quit my day job and solely concentrate on photography. So although I have been taking pictures this past week. I don't have the time nor the energy to post them on a daily basis. Also I have a wedding on Saturday so I am going to be spending a nice large amount of time editing and going through those images so although I plan to continue taking photographs I may very well be running late on posting them. So Alas, if this upsets you then I guess I'm fired ;) and poooo on youuuuu :D

65/365 Doodlebops Concert

My mom and I took the kids to a Doodlebops concert tonight and I have to say I was really disappointed. We arrived 2 hours early so that we could get good seats. It was outside at a park (so they said to bring lawn chairs and blankets and what not) so we brought our own chairs/playpen for Logan. The show was supposed to start at 7pm but they didnt even come on stage until 8pm (by then my kids were pretty much over it). Now that alone wouldn't have made me so disappointed but I cannot believe how RUDE people are! We had blankets layed out and people trampled all over them and rolled over them with their strollers and didnt even apologize or say excuse me or anything! Then when the show FINALLY did start there was a ton of last minute comers who basically were beyond rude. They weren't watching their kids and one large family even stood right in front of us so Rory couldn't see (there was plenty of space for them to stand elsewhere and their kids were older like 8-10 while Rory is just 2.5 let the little one see GEEZE) another lady's son kept almost knocking Logan's playpen over and then spilled his drink all over Rory! Meanwhile my mom was in her lawn chair and about 4 kids were basically all OVER my mom leaning on her chair and these weren't cute little kids these were older kids who SHOULD have known better, but then again why would they when their parents obviously DO NOT watch them. Half of the people who I saw attend were really nasty trashy ghetto people and honestly ruined it for the rest of us. We didn't even stay very long because Rory was upset and wanted to go home, she kept saying "home. . home. . " Logan was getting irritated and upset too. So we decided to pack up and leave that nastiness. On our way out we noticed most of the non-trashy/ non-rude people were leaving as well. I think it is really sad when people can't bring their children to something and let them enjoy it because other people are rude and don't watch their bratty kids! I honestly don't blame the Doodlebops for this ruckus though, I think it was poor management of the city of Beaumont for the way they planned it. I mean seriously LITTLE kids/toddlers like doodlebops why the heck are you going to have the concert start after most of their bed times??? Come on people get a freakin clue! I truly hope that this isn't a reflection of how the city of Beaumont truly is because if it is, then I am SO glad I don't live there!

We took the kiddos out to dinner at the Richie's Diner last night! I had never been and had heard good things from Jenn. So after months of saying we will try it, we decided to head on over and give it a whirl. I had a great time! The diner was really cute and had a fun atmosphere to it! I couldn't help but snap pics!!!

As a lot of you know I am deathly afraid of earthquakes. So much so that just talking about them can make me hyperventilate and start throwing up. So I was in for quite a treat when at lunch today a nice big earthquake hit. Lets see Saturday I shot a wedding and then on Sunday I went and saw The Dark Night, which by the way is the best movie EVER, thanks mom and dad for watching my babies. As a lot of my friends and family know I am a HUGE batman fan, so I have been waiting what seems like an eternity to see this movie :) I hate when they start hyping it up more than a year before it is released, I'm sorry that is just NOT right! Now if only another X-men would come out I'd be a happy girl :)

OK now back to our regularly scheduled programming lol. Anyways, so Rory is feeling a TON better but poor little Logan is SICK he has been throwing up and last night his fever reached 106.2 :( my poor sweet baby does not feel well.

This weekends pics are really horrible because Saturday I got home late and just needed to snap some quick I was trying not to get them excited by the camera so I was trying to be incognito ;)

Well Logan's fever is back! My poor Rory spiked a fever of 106.1 this morning, we gave her tylenol and motrin and it went completely away for several hours. Then come this evening it's back full force :( Again giving tylenol and motrin, I hope she feels better soon.

It's funny how things change once you become a parent. Things that you would NEVER have dreamed to talk about you talk about freely and in the open. Such as the fact that Rory pooped in the potty for the first time. To most people this is probably kind of "icky" but as a parent you take pride in these things because what seems so small to everyone else you realize is such a huge step for your child! I think potty training is really separates the children from the babies. Well my baby didn't have a single accident today!!! I am sooo proud! She was sick and everything and still managed to tell me EVERY time she had to pee.

We spent the night in the ER. Both of my babies had high fevers. They were cranky all day but didn't have any other symptoms of illness when all of a sudden they got high fevers! Rory was 104.3 and Logan was 104 My poor sweet little ones are on a regimen of tylenol/motrin for now. Poor little Rory had to get a catheter to get urine so they could check for a UTI :( They doctors have no clue what is wrong with them so they sent us home to try to keep them cool and try to reduce their fevers :(

We went to Seaworld today with Will's dad. It was surprisingly cool out. I was expecting it to be completely hot and miserable but it wasn't! Rory is in LOVE with penguins or "papas" as she calls them. Whenever she would start to act up I would just tell her no penguins for her and she would yell NOOOO and start behaving lol.

Today was a hectic, crazy fun day! My April came home last night from Colorado! I have missed her sooo much these past few months! With her moving away and then my Jenn moving away, it has been a really crappy couple of months, so I am glad to have my girl back home! Today was a fun day! We made a video for Rory's aunt who is away at College. I know how much the buddies miss each other so here is the video :) The quality isnt that great because it is online lol

Oh I can tell you what the terrible twos are! It is when your sweet little baby becomes a monster who likes to throw things at people, hit people (especially the baby brother), not listen to a D*mn word Mommy and Daddy say, and overall be completely and utterly defiant. Some people may wonder why parents don't just ship those little bratts - I mean toddlers- off to boarding school right then and there. Well I will tell you that God was a smart man, I mean they don't call him GOD for nothing, you see he gives you a child when they are sweet and innocent and all you can do is love them. Then when they hit those "bad" years you're already quite smitten with them. Then God proves to be even smarter, you see when these horrible little beings start being so bad they are also learning to talk. So you can have a HORRIBLE day and your sweet little child will look up at you and say Love you mommy! No matter how completely and utterly mad you are your heart completely melts right then and there and once again you are wrapped around that itty bitty little finger. Now I am just waiting for the day when she realizes saying "i love you" melts my heart and starts to use it to her advantage... because oh yes my friend that is how manipulative the human race is, and it starts at childhood.

As for today, Rory is officially in a "big girl" bed! She kept getting out of bed "yeah that was fun", so when she finally DID fall asleep I cranked up my ISO so I wouldnt have to use a flash and risk waking that sweet little monster.

Then there is Logan! I had NO intention of taking a picture with Rebel in it. However, Rebel had other plans. I truly think she likes being in the pictures, as she manages to try to get in about half of them lol. She jumped up, Logan pulled her tail, yanked her collar, and still Rebel stayed! I had to move that stupid cat! But first I had to snap a pic!

Aurora Hijacked Logan's B-day present

This little wand is Rory's favorite toy. It came with an Aurora Doll, and I think Disney is a messed up company! Any company that will make a HARD plastic wand make a cool noise when you strike things with it is NOT a good company!

Well I am SO not ready for my little girl to grow up and yet she seems to be growing every day right in front of my eyes! Every day she is learning new words and doing new things. She has been learning the sounds that animals make and I love how animated she gets when she tells you that a tiger or a lion goes rawwwrrrrr and moves her hands around like she is scratching the air. Or when she says quack quack how she flaps her lil arms like the chicken dance. She is finally starting to put words together, this has taken a LOT of work to get her to do. Instead of saying Juice or Please she is just starting to say "juice please", I have to help remind her to say them together and she gets a little tongue tied but she is trying so hard.

Unfortunately with all of this new found intelligence comes a sense of "freedom" and "self". She doesn't want to listen to Mommy or Daddy anymore. She is only 2 1/2 and already thinks that she knows better, and I am NOT looking forward to those teen years. She is an independent little booger but I love her very much.

Rory's best friend is our cat Rebel. Rory torchers poor Rebel and Rebel insists on being with Rory ALL day. Here is a picture of the best friends together

Unfortunately Rory also has a love for our cat Canon too, however, Canon has quite a disdain for poor Rory. You can see it in her face in this picture.

Then there is my sweet little Logan. He is probably the most mild mannered and sweetest little guy. He is a HUGE love bug and loves spending his days hanging out with Mommy. Every day he is learning to walk a bit more. Today I think he took a total of 12 steps all in a row! It was so sweet! He also has this funky hair, I really want to get it cut but both Will and my mom have told me that I'm not allowed! I really love his curls but I don't know what to do with it and his "bangs" are killing me. Today I couldn't help but give him a Donald Trump hair do

Today started off great and ended hard. We woke up and I gave the kids breakfast. We had waffles, mixed fruit and bananas. Logan loved all of it, but I had to trick Aurora into eating the fruit, and she does NOT like bananas. Then we played for a bit. Afterwards I made meatloaf (thanks Jenn for the recipe ;), rice, mashed potatoes, peas & carrots, and corn. Rory loves mashed potatoes, Logan... not so much lol. So we all ate and then it was time for Rory's nap. She refused to take a nap, which means she was in a bad mood the rest of the day. Logan however, took a nice long nap and was a happy camper. Unfortunately for Logan, when Rory is in a bad mood my poor lil guy gets picked on. So we ended the day with tons of teary rubbing eyes time outs.

Will is going in early to work which means he actually gets to see the kids before bed. Logan was loving Daddy giving him loving.

We went to the park this morning. It was SOOO stinking hot. We went around 9am and it was already 6 billion degrees out! The kids had fun so it was worth it! Rory ran around like the lunatic she is, while Logan discovered grass for the first time. It is so funny how Rory and Logan are so complete and utter opposites. Rory freaked out the first time she touched grass so we brought a blanket for Logan just in case. Well he was pretty good about staying on his blanket, at first lol. Then he touched the grass and decided it wasn't so bad and he was off to go explore! He was crawling around everywhere, blanket shmanket! We were then going to go on the slide but it plastic was hot to the touch. Rory had already climbed all the way to the top when I realized how hot the plastic was. So I told Rory it was hot and she had to come back down. I was waiting for the break down and tears to start, but she just looked at me and said "hot" and came back down with me, with NO fit! Well no fit until she realized we were going home, then the fit started lol. But overall it was a good morning :)

I just love this picture! We have been doing a lot of reading lately, and I mean A LOT, and in the past month or so she learned what a Tree was. Only thing is she learned it in a book so any little plant was a tree :p Well today she realized that these HUGE gigantic things were TWEES!!!! She was SO excited, I just thought it was sooo sweet.

We started the potty training battle today. She tinkled (i say tinkle because it wasn't a full on pee) in the potty twice! The first time I bribed her with stickers lol. The second time she told me she had to go but didnt full on make it. But I was so happy she told me I rewarded her with popcorn!
